After many requests here is a fool proof recipe for Degi Mutanjan just like you see at weddings.

Degi Mutanjan
Serves 5-6
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:
-Ashrafiyan (Tutti frutti) 1 Cup
-Sukha nariyal (Dried Coconut) sliced ½ Cup
-Kishmish (Raisins) ¼ Cup
-Badam (Almonds) peeled ½ Cup
-Pista (Pistachios) ¼ Cup
-Water as required
-Water 3-4 tbs
-Red food color ¼ tsp
-Green food color ¼ tsp
-Orange food color ¼ tsp
-Chawal (Rice) Sella 750g (boiled with cardamom,cloves,star anise & salt)
-Ghee ½ Cup
-Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 3-4
-Laung (Cloves) 3-4
-Sugar 2 Cups or to taste
-Pakola Full Cream Milk 1 Cup
-Kewra water ½ tbs
-Khoya crumbled 200g
-Khopra (Desiccated coconut) 3-4 tbs
-Cham cham
-Badam (Almonds) peeled & sliced
-Khoya
-Chandi warq (Edible silver leaf)

Directions:
-On a bowl,place strainer,add tutti frutti,dried coconut,raisins,almonds,pistachios & wash thoroughly with water then strain & set aside.
-In 3 bowls,add water,red food color,green food color,orange food color & mix well.
-Add 1 tbs boiled rice in each bowl,mix well then strain & set aside.
-In a pot,add ghee & let it melt.
-Add green cardamom,cloves & mix well.
-Add sugar & mix well.
-Add milk,mix well & bring it to boil and cook on medium flame until sugar is dissolved (4-5 minutes).
-Add boiled rice,mix well & cook on high flame until dries up (3-4 minutes) & keep mixing in between.
-Now add stained red,green & orange colored rice then add washed & strained dry nuts.
-Add kewra water,khoya & desiccated coconut.
-Cover lid with kitchen cloth & steam cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes.
-Garnish with cham cham,almonds,khoya,edible silver leaf & serve!

-Bowl mein strainer rakh dein,tutti frutti,sukha nariyal,kishmish,badam aur pista dal dein aur pani sa ache tarhan dho lein phir strain ker ka side per rakh dein.
-3 bowls mein pani,red food color,green food color aur orange food color dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Her bowl mein 1 tbs boiled chawal dal ker ache tarhan mix karein phir strain ker ka side per rakh dein.
-Pot mein ghee dal ker melt ker dein.
-Hari elaichi aur laung dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Cheeni dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Doodh dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay ka bad darmiyani ancch per cheeni ghul janay tak paka lein (4-5 minutes).
-Boiled chawal dal ker ache tarhan mix karein phir tez ancch per sukh jana tak paka lein (3-4 minutes) aur bech bech mein chamcha chalatay rahein.
-Ab strained red,green & orange colored chawal,washed & strained dry nuts dal dein.
-Kewra water,khoya aur khopra dal dein.
-Lid ko kitchen towel sa cover ker lein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 10-15 minutes kliya steam cook ker lein.
-Cham cham,badam,khoya aur chandi warq sa garnish ker ka serve karein!
